ABOUT THE EVENT
Our second event with APSN (www.apsn.org.sg) where we will be focusing on a 3-hour interactive session about the challenges and solutions around employing people with intellectual disability, followed by a tour of APSN Centre for Adults and a Q&A session. We will also share the incentives provided by the government and how this can do wonders for employer branding and millennial retention. Last year, we had a full house with clients such as KPMG, Decathlon, Oracle, Sephora and Aviva attending. The objective is to encourage more employers to hire from the centre.
Founded in 1976, Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN) was set up as a Social Service Organisation to provide special education for persons with mild intellectual disability (IQ50-70) through a holistic approach in the development of academic, vocational and social skills. The Association provides dedicated and specialised educational pathways for ages 7 to 21, while the Centre for Adults provides continued vocational training and preparation for open employment from 17 years old and above, all the way to adulthood.
